The MSI Wind Box DE220 may have been snubbed at the recently concluded Consumers Electronics Show in Las Vegas, but it seems that it is never too late for it to leave an impression on us.

The MSI Wind Box DE220 is packed with Pinetrail, in the form of a single-core Atom D410 or a dual-core D150. It also is equipped with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330, and up to 1 TB hard drive or 4 GB of memory.

It will also be pre-installed with 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Windows 7 Home Premium. The MSI Wind Box DE220 will be available in three color options: red, blue and black.

Two New Net Atom Processors From Intel

Intel is ever expanding their lineup of powerful Intel Atom processors for netbooks and nettop PCs. Recently, Intel has just released two new models for the lineup: the Intel Atom N455 and N475.

The Intel Atom N455 is a 1.6 GHz processor, which is the same speed as the current Intel Atom N450 processor. The new N455 do however has support for the new DDR3 RAM standard.

The other model from the range is the Intel Atom N475. It is a 1.83 GHz processor that will most likely be seen most on a new range of netbooks and nettop PCs later this year.

HP TouchSmart 600 Quad With Intel Core i7

HP has just updated its range of multitouch all-in-one PCs with its release of the HP TouchSmart 600 Quad which is equipped with a range of Intel’s new Core i7 processors.

The TouchSmart 600 Quad comes with a choice of either an Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz processor or an Intel Core i7-820QM 1.73GHz processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM and up to 1.5TB of hard drive storage. The graphics will be provided by a 1 GB Nvidia GeForce GT230m graphics card.

Toshiba comes with a new business laptop that may not have much when it comes in the “looks department” but will surely captivate many with what’s inside it: the Portege M780.

The Toshiba Portege M780 is equipped with a Core i5 processor inside. It will also come with up to 8GB of RAM, 802.11n wireless, SSD options. Other Toshiba notebooks, like the Tecra A11 will also be undergoing upgrades of Intel Core i7 CPUs.

Much like the HP 2730p, the Toshiba Portege M780 is a 12.1 inch convertible tablet PC. It has a spill-resistant keyboard and has been ruggedized to withstand drops measuring up to a meter.

Looks like Western Digital’s TB hard drives will be facing fierce competition as Samsung has just launched their newest EcoGreen hard drives: the 1,5 TB and 2TB F3EG.

All the new drives from Samsung are the followup to last year’s F2EG. The EcoGreen hard drives impressively use up as little power as possible for a hefty internal drive. It also incorporates a 3.0 Gbps SATA interface, native command queuing features and 16 MB/32 MB buffer memory.

The Samsung EcoGreen hard drives will available in the European and US markets this coming March at a starting price of $179.99.

Sony has added another Vaio notebook, the Sony Vaio E Series. The new notebook series will feature a 15.5 inch display. It will also be powered by a 2.26 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB of RAM and a 500 GB hard drive.

The Sony Vaio E Series will also have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD graphics. It will also be equipped with a DVD burner, three USB ports, an eSATA port, and a built-in web camera, WiFi and a Blutooth 2.1 + EDR.

OreObject is coming out with a unique gadget, the OreObject SPHEREtouch Mouse.

The OreObject SPHEREtouch Mouse is handcrafted and the mouse buttons are touch sensitive. The mouse buttons are placed vertically on the mouse. Both the innovative touch-sensitive buttons and the vertical button placement are designed to allow fingers to ‘dangle’ freely when no button actuation is required. Whereas the conventional mouse requires force exertion by the finger every time the mouse button is clicked, a slight tapping motion is all that is required for the SPHEREtouch mouse to accomplish the same task.

Dell’s Latitude 13 Notebook

Another notebook has been launched by Dell, the Latitude 13. As the name suggests, the new Dell notebook is included in the Latitude lineup and is designed for business users.

The Dell Latitude 13, which looks a lot like the recently released Vostro 13, will feature a 13 inch display, and is designed to be thin and light and highly portable.

Dell has not yet released any detailed specifications of the Latitude 13, however, it is expected that it will have a similar ULV processor to that of Vostro 13. It will likely have 802.11b/g/n WiFi, WWAN and an external Blu-ray drive.

Microsoft has just added a new gaming keyboard to their lineup, the Microsoft Sidewinder X4 Keyboard. According to Microsoft, their newest keyboard features the most advanced anti ghosting technology.

According to Steven Bathiche, research manager of the Applied Sciences Group at Microsoft, “We know that ghosting can be a problem for gamers, so we wanted to develop a way to eliminate this issue and improve the overall gaming experience, and we’ve succeeded with the new anti-ghosting technology in the SideWinder X4 Keyboard.”

A Canadian company, Deanmark, has come up with a very innovative mouse design, the Airmouse. The Airmouse, worn like a glove, is strapped onto your index and middle finger and uses an optical tracking laser.
