
All of the top PC brands right now are lining up for the Windows 7 flag, however, Acer has beat them to the flag by unveiling its new line up six weeks ahead from Windows 7’s official unveiling.
Acer will offer 5 systems, of the 5 systems shown, three will have a a multi-touch screen, while Acer also launched a 23 inch touchscreen monitor to deliver multi-touch to anyone upgrading their existing desktop to Windows 7.
According to Nigel Gore, head of Acer Computer Australia told the press that is just the beginning of Acer’s Windows 7 wave. The units created for the new OS will include touchscreen models, to follow later this year and in 2010.
Each of the touch systems will be on sale from October 22nd and come reloaded with a 64-bit edition of Windows 7 Home Premium.
First in the series is an all in one Aspire Z5610, it comes with a 23 inch HD(16:9) optical touchscreen. This means that two small image sensors are placed at the screen to track and triangulate the movement of your fingers and direct the software’s response accordingly.
Each of the touch systems will be on sale from October 22nd and come reloaded with a 64-bit edition of Windows 7 Home Premium.
