The Alienware Area-51 m7700 comes with a 3.6 GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor, 1 GB of DDR2 RAM and a pair of hard disks with the total capacity of 120 GB of free memory. It is also equipped with the Nvidia GeForce GO 6800 with 156 MB memory. It also sports a standard TFT 17-inch display that has a 1440x 900 resolution. For an extra $200, you can also opt for the 1680×1050 display.

The Alienware Area-51 m7700 features 4 USB ports, an S-video port, an Ethernet, a modem socket, a single Type II PC card slot, a 7-in-1 memory card reader, 2×4-pin FireWire ports, a PS/2 port, a DVI port, Bluetooth and 802b/g WiFi.
