Acer has introduced another line of notebooks meant for digital entertainment, the Acer Aspire Ethos. And to launch the line, two new models will be offered by the firm, the 5943G and 8943G models.

Both models are equipped with a 15.6 and 18 inches cinema screen CineCrystal supported by ATI Mobility Radeon HD5000. With these goodies the units are sure to deliver stunning visual effects, full 3D, realistic lighting and detail in every image.

Acer releases details of its newest Timeline notebook, the Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T.

The TimelineX 1830T notebook will be offered with 1.06 GHz Intel Core i5-520UM processor. And with the help of Intel’s Turbo boost, the same powerhouse can be overclocked to 1.86 GHz.

Other features include 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a VGA webcam, multi card reader, three USB ports, and a HDMI output. This unit also offers optional upgrades such as Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and 3G.

Acer is also slated to add three more models to the TimelineX range: the 13.3-inch 3820T, the 14-inch 4820T and the 15.6-inch 5820T.

Pricing and availability details of the TimelineX 1830T are expected to be released later this month.

Acer is said to be gearing up for the company’s ultimate release ever to be made in laptops history. According to a report, Acer is setting up to launch a new frameless ultra thin laptop in the second half of 2010. This new laptop is rumored to be constructed using Corning’s reinforced glass substitute to help create a super thin laptop and reduce material costs to a minimum.

The back of the glass will be printed to give the appearance of a notebook cover and the screen will be combined with a touch screen keyboard.

Following the lead of Sony, Acer now also comes out with green laptops.

Acer’s Aspire 3811TZ and 3811TZG may not look ‘green’ at first glance, unlike the Sony Vaio W Eco, but they have been named by Greenpeace as one of the greenest laptops out there. Both part of Acer’s Timeline series, the 3811TZ and 3811TZG are completely free of environmentally harmful materials, including PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and BFR (brominated flame retardants).

The 3811TZ and 3811TZG are both powered by Intel ULV Core 2 Duo processors, making them more power-efficient than any other laptop and last longer per charge, too.
