Acer releases details of its newest Timeline notebook, the Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T.

The TimelineX 1830T notebook will be offered with 1.06 GHz Intel Core i5-520UM processor. And with the help of Intel’s Turbo boost, the same powerhouse can be overclocked to 1.86 GHz.

Other features include 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a VGA webcam, multi card reader, three USB ports, and a HDMI output. This unit also offers optional upgrades such as Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and 3G.

Acer is also slated to add three more models to the TimelineX range: the 13.3-inch 3820T, the 14-inch 4820T and the 15.6-inch 5820T.

According to a report, Acer is setting up to launch a new frameless ultra thin laptop in the second half of 2010. This new laptop is rumored to be constructed using Corning’s reinforced glass substitute to help create a super thin laptop and reduce material costs to a minimum.

The back of the glass will be printed to give the appearance of a notebook cover and the screen will be combined with a touch screen keyboard.
