Dell comes out with a new netbook that is classroom-inspired, the Dell Latitude 2100. This education netbook from Dell is especially designed for students up to 12th grade.

The Dell Latitude 2100 is powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor. It has a single memory slot that supports up 512 MB up to 2 GB of RAM. FOR storage, it is available with SSD drives that can go up to 16 GB and spinning drive of up to 250 GB.

Way back in December, Dell’s business-oriented Precision M6500 already boasts many a spectacular features. Sporting a 17-inch 1920×1200 LED-backlit display, the Precision M6500 is already equipped with Intel Core i7 CPU, up to 16 GB of DDR3 memory, and a choice of ATI FirePro MM7740 or Nvidia Quadro FX 3800M. It also has support for up to three storage devices.

Well, it’s added some new configuration options today, including USB 3.0 and a Core i5 processor. There’s no word on the pricing yet, but the previously available Core i7 configuration runs around $2,700.

Another notebook has been launched by Dell, the Latitude 13. As the name suggests, the new Dell notebook is included in the Latitude lineup and is designed for business users.

The Dell Latitude 13, which looks a lot like the recently released Vostro 13, will feature a 13 inch display, and is designed to be thin and light and highly portable.

Dell has not yet released any detailed specifications of the Latitude 13, however, it is expected that it will have a similar ULV processor to that of Vostro 13. It will likely have 802.11b/g/n WiFi, WWAN and an external Blu-ray drive.

Dell is overhauling its Mini 10 to come up with a new netbook that carries Intel’s Pine Trail processor. The new mini laptop will also be equipped with Broadcom’ Crystal HD accelerator, which can playback full HD videos on a high resolution 1366 x 768 display.

With a more rounded, wedge-shaped lower half, the new Dell Mini 10 features a slew of standard ports, including three USB ports, VGA, Ethernet, SD card slot, and a headphone and microphone jack. The much wider base houses the six-cell battery which can last up to 6 hours.

Dell introduces a highly innovative and environmentally friendly computer, Froot.

Froot is a biodegradable computer concept that uses no hardware for both the keyboard and the monitor. This is where the innovative part comes in; the concept uses projection technology for both devices to create a virtual keyboard and monitor visuals on a nearby surface.

The concept seems to be a great idea as it will lessen the hardware junk that the computer industry leaves behind, especially nowadays we can just replace our gadgets that easily. But the projection technology does have its downsides. And who would be thrilled of typing on hard surfaces on extended periods of time?
