Along with Shift, Maingear is introducing two new gaming desktops under the F1X lineup: the F1X200 and the F1X500.

Both the F1X200 and the F1X500 run on a 64-bit copy of Windows 7 and are packed with an 80GB SSD boot drive. The desktops also are equipped with overclocked Intel Core i7 CPU and an optional Blu-Ray burner.

The Shift meanwhile boasts a 3.6 GHz OC’D Core i7-975, 12 GB of DDR3 memory, a 1.5 TB Western Digital storage drive, 6x Blu-ray writer, a closed-loop watercooling system, 1000-watt power supply and a twin ATI Radeon HD 5870 GPUs.

Marvell has a new smartbook design equipped with Armada 510 processor. But its not the processor that this new lappie from Marvell is boasting about, rather it being the thinnest one could’ve ever seen.

Still unnamed though, the new smartbook from Marvell is built pretty well, with its classic-style keyboard spread across its 12.1 inch expanse. It also runs Ubuntu well, including 720p movies.

The Marvell smartbook is eyeing a $200 pricepoint with its promised 4 hours battery life. Apparently, there are already a lot of ARM processor-based laptops out in the market that trim down on battery size to arrive at a lower cost.

The newest version of the internet browser Firefox has already been released. Although the release has been delayed, as it has originally been scheduled for release last December, the timing of the Firefox 3.6 launch has never been more perfect. As it has been recently reported, Firefox rival Internet Explorer is currently having problems at the moment, which lead to the increased downloads of the former.

The Firefox 3.6 includes new features that include better JavaScript performance, increased stability, support for HTML5, and changes in third-party software integration. Firefox’s Persona which allows you to change Firefox’s appearance without having to start the browser is retained.

Lockheed Martin, popularly known for its laser weapons and futuristic ships, is now venturing on a very different gadget: the IronClad.

With some help from IronKey, Lockheed Martin comes out with the ultra-secure IronClad USB flash drive. Lockheed Martin equips IronClad with custom software that assures you to carry your entire computer with you and securely use it on any public computer, such as the 256-bit encryption and built-in virus protection.

The IronCLad is available with at least 8 GB of storage. It also has a variety of networking features that will let organizations keep watch on individual frives and control what can or cannot be installed on them.

Via has launched a new mini-PC, or should I say a mini mini-PC? The new VIA AMOS-3001 Mini PC measures in at an incredibly 10 cm by 4.6 cm by 10.8 cm.
