Dell comes out with a 17-inch notebook that could just easily take the place of your existing desktop: the Dell 1737 notebook.
The Dell 1737 notebook features a 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 3 GB of RAM memory. Add to that the 280 GB hard disk and the ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650 graphics card with 512 MB of video memory and you have what could be the most powerful laptop ever.
The 1737 notebook also comes with a selection of ports that not only include the regular USB ports and headphones and microphone jacks, you also get a HDMI port, a VGA out and even an SD card reader. The HDMI port allows you attach an external HD TV.
The Dell 1737 also comes with two battery options. The standard unit comes with the six-cell battery which can be upgraded to the nine-cell battery. But despite of the options, the battery performance is not that impressive anyway as it can only reach a maximum of 2 hours if not running any demanding applications.
