Recently seen at the Taipei Game Show is the latest laptop from Gigabyte. But this laptop is not just any other as it can be attached to an external GPU.
Gigabyte’s docking laptop, the M1405, sports a 14 inch TFT LED display with resolution 1366 x 768, Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300, up to 4 GB memory and 500 GB storage. The graphics will be supported by an Intel GMA 4500 MHD. It also features Windows 7 and a DVD player.
The M1405 can be attached to its external GPU which provides extra ports and GeForce GT220 with 1 GB discrete memory. The whole system is powered with a 6-cell battery, but an additional 3-cell could be had in place of the disc drive.
Gigabyte’s M1405 still has no pricing and availability details but it will already be unveiled next month at CeBIT.
