Belkin has just launched a number of USB 3.0 peripherals. Among them is the Super Speed USB 3.0 PCIe card for desktop PCs, a Super Speed USB 3.0 Express Card designed for notebooks and netbooks, and a Super Speed USB 2.0 A-B cable.
Belkin promises that these devices have transfer speeds of up to 180 megabits per second, which is about three times faster than the USB 2.0 though not as fast as the five gigabits per second USB 3.0 is capable of.
However, speed does not come cheap. These new USB 3.0 peripherals come with a price. The PCIe card retails at $79.99, the USB 3, the Express Card at $79.99 and the USB 3.0 cable costs $49.99.
