Another good offer from Asus! Essentio CG5290-BP007 receives good reviews not only on its performance on a daily basis but for gaming purposes as well. This one, I say, is an appropriate reward for all good students out there.

This Asus Essentio CG5290-BP007 definitely stands out from the rest of back-to-school computers because of its lower price and its higher intentions. For a little more than $1,000, Essentio CG5290-BP007 is a pretty decent gaming device.

This is the first back-to-school desktop we’ve seen with an Intel Core i7 chip in it. It also has the most powerful graphics card, the souped-up version of Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 260, which has a bit more…

If you have noticed, Dell seldom produces netbooks unlike Asus and HP. Nevertheless, when they create one, they make sure that consumers will buy it. It may only include the basic but that’s what actually the majority wants: No more, no less and with $299.99, you can purchase Mini 10v on eBay.

Dell Inspiron Mini 10v’s features include 3 USB ports, VGA Out, Ethernet, and a 4-in-1 memory card reader. It also has a 120GB hard drive which is smaller than what you would find in most other netbooks but practically more than enough for most users.

One good thing about Mini 10v is that its battery life can last roughly around…

Looking for a really light notebook?  Then Tecra M8 is the one for you.  With its thin design, it is the lightest in the 13.3” notebooks. Toshiba has already established their success when it comes to designing a compact and stylish frame with unique elements. Thus, it became appealing to both students and business professionals.

This laptop comes with a processor in a range between Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 (1.8GHz) and Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 (2.4GHz). The integrated Intel X3100 graphic board extends battery life and reduces heat.  Since laptop is a business notebook and not for gaming purposes, it lacks decent graphics card which is really not a…

The fact that there are already numerous computers out there seems kinda hard for a new one to compete.  But what better way to get some attention than to lower the price?  This $350 Aspire One AOD250 of course has its limitations like a bad touch pad and a cramped keyboard.  Nonetheless, Aspire One AOD250 is much better than the previous version.

Aspire One AOD250 has an Intel Atom N270 processor, 160 GB hard drive and 1 GB of DDR2 RAM which is good for basic Web surfing, accessing documents and media viewing. The life battery can last up to 3 hours.

All in all, for this price, Aspire One AOD250 is…

Admit it, whatever stuff it is you’re planning to purchase, the appearance comes first.  What more if it’s an object you’ll carry around?  That’s why Sony has been very good with its marketing strategy; not totally focusing but maybe prioritizing the design of their laptops.  Of course, we cannot discount the fact that performance-wise, they are above par compared to others.

Well, without further ado, here’s another from Sony Vaio NW series.  This model, the NW160J, comes in at $929.  A little pricey but with gaming-capable ATI graphics and a midrange Core 2 Duo processor, it’s all worth it.

The NW160J comes in three colors: brown (see photos), white, and silver. The…

If you think you don’t need GPU ‘coz you’re not a gamer, well then, you friend has been mislead.  The fact is GPU can enhance the performance of the entire system.  Modern operating systems like Vista and Windows 7 use the GPU for system tasks like drawing windows.  Plus, a real GPU doesn’t steal RAM from the main system.

This new netbook from Dell has been jam packed with a high-end mobile ATI GPU and quad-core CPU.  The notebook features an Intel Core 2 Quad Extreme Edition processor and up to 16GB of RAM. The GPU has up to 1GB of memory and the screen of the notebook is a 17-inch…

Lenovo creates yet another netbook but will the name IdeaPad S10-2 be given justice?  Truth be told, Lenovo’s netbook line continues to disappoint the consumers.  IdeaPad S10-2 ($349 direct) is undeniably lighter than the previous version, apart from that, no new features were added.  In fact, they removed the ExpressCard slot which made its predecessor, S10 exceptional.

Like a bride, S10-2 is dressed in white adorned with circular shapes underneath a coat of gloss.  Now that makes it a little interesting, nonetheless, the style still can’t compete with other netbooks like HP Mini 110 (1030us) and Acer Aspire One (D250-1165).  Good effort though, with different color schemes, it kind of get…
