We’re loving the Averatec Black Crystal D0148UH1E-M desktop for its innovative, integrated design, its awesome display, and its great price. It’s almost like an all-in-one with the computer built into the monitor, but an external DVD player sits in a shiny, slim box outside of the computer.

The innards of the PC include an Intel Core 2 Duo processor running at 1.6 GHz and backed up by 2 GB of RAM. A 250 GB stores files. The display is a 22” WSXGA LCD with a great response rate. In the little box is a SuperMulti DVD-RW drive. This is a great media PC for the package and should handle eye-pleasing applications…

If you’re looking to get some work done on the go, check out the HP 1010NR netbook. This excellent little laptop is a cheap, easy way to get Windows XP functionality in a no-hassle, easy-to-carry package. It weighs 2.2 pounds, so it’ll pack into an overnight bag like a thin hardback novel.

Under the hood, the HP 1010NR netbook is running an Intel Atom processor at 1.6 GHz. 512 MB of RAM backs it up. That’s a little light for the memory department, which bothers us a little, but it helps to keep the price down. An 8 GB SSD internal hard drive handles basic file storage, but expansion is available…

The Fujitsu Lifebook U810 Ultra Mobile PC is a fully handheld, touch-screen gadget that packs a real computer into a tiny package. Unlike the PDAs and palmtops of yore, this little beast actually is a PC, not just a questionable PC simulacrum. Let’s get to the good stuff: The Lifebook U810 is running an Intel A110 processor at 800 MHz and boasts a gig of RAM to back it up. A 40 GB hard drive attends to file storage, and an Intel GMA950 graphics processor handles the visuals.…

Getting some face time with us this week is the Asus EEE PC S101. This is the latest entry in the aggressive, ever-evolving campaign of netbook technology from industry innovator Asus. This is one of the slimmest netbooks we’ve seen. Asus pumped up the screen to a full 10 inches at the diagonal without making it fat; in fact, the new EEE is even lighter than before, making barely a dent at 2.3 pounds.

Inside, the Asus EEE PC S101 is running a spiffy new Intel Atom processor that’s backed up by a gig of RAM and a 16 GB solid state hard drive. Thanks to the new screen, the max…

Checking out the viscera, we see an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 processor running at 2.66 GHz. A hefty 6 GB of RAM and a fast 750 GB hard drive support the CPU. An excellent ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics card with half a gigabyte of…
